Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell employee satisfaction goes down...stock price goes up

I don't work at Honeywell any more but still have my 401K there and swore I wouldn't buy their stock again. After the stock yielded 35% last year I decided to buy at the dip a few weeks ago. It seems the more people complain on this message board the higher the stock goes.

This is capitalism at its best.

like your investment strategy- low fees and s&p.

I leave my 401K at Honeywell because the fees are lower than anywhere else. No large investment selection required...following the Warren Buffet approach. All my funds are in the S&P index fund.

You can get most of your 401K money out while still an employee as long as you are over a certain age and have been with the company for at minimum number of years. I don't know the particulars but I know several people who have done it who were over 55, maybe 60. Call the Help Line for the savings plan and ask them.

Nope have to no longer be an employee to roll it over. Sure beats the handful of sheety investment options provided to employees.

If you are retirement age you might be able to pull money out while still employed although I doubt they allow it. It is called an in service distribution.

Can we roll it to IRA while still employed?

Why would you leave your 401k at Honeywell? You know you can roll it over to an IRA right?

As for the stock performance it isn't as if HON is an outlier. The broad market indices are up around 40% since Trump got elected.

Based on my 15 years then then stock price should hit $500 as my satisfaction with the job has hit an all time low. Made the decision after my pay raise wasn't even the 1.75% minimum for a "5"

And I am a manager of people so I knew the low guidance was 1.75%. Can't wait to find my new role some place else. Definitely giving 0 notice

Yea our stock price is being propped up by hope and chewing gum. There is literally nothing backing it up. It's gonna fall hard once the last Jenga piece is pulled out.

Don’t worry OP - what goes up must come down, especially when there are lots of “smoke and mirrors” to go around. Good luck with your investments!
