Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Out of Stock question

When doing OOS in tools, what is your procedure when an item has been scanned for a month and no product has been received?

How many tickets can you leave on the hook?

Why is this to be done before store opening?

What day is the cutoff in order to be counted in report the following week

What if item comes up with a negative count? What is that procedure

Neither my manager or store manager know the answers

The store manager should have to shadow to learn the process!! Especially since they don’t know answers I need!!!

Just keep the first OOS tag and the last OOS tag. That lets you know how long it's been out of stock and when the most recent OOS was performed.

If you have a negative count, change it to zero. If you don’t it will never get replenished.

With all the vendor issues, if you have more than 3 weeks of o/s stickers, I would flex to ownership of what you actually have in stock. Only top 25 stores will get enough merchandise. POG integrity is absolutely unnecessary at this point of Sears. Fill with what you got, make it look full. Double or even triple your facings of what you have in abundance.

prg- thank you!! I wd imagine our store manager won’t know where the report is located.. he is a rookie acting like a big shot

I was using the instock report as a guide of how many items were OOS in div 9 but now I can’t bring up report !

Thank you for the information

Simple ... have the store manager pull the list of all the product that is not available or on back order.. that will tell you to take down the hook... lol.. unless you have a piss poor SGM like we do at Sterling Heights... he has no clue what is going on down on the floor ... he is still sitting in his office when he should be out on the floor helping us. He needs to get off his golden throne and do some work !!!!!!!

ijn- why not just share information instead of a curt answer?

Especially when some of the stores lost their top leads in the first layoff and long time mcas that were full time that started long ago when training was great.

All basic stuff that any MCA, Lead, ASM, or Store GM should know. That has happened to SHC ?
