Thread regarding Sears layoffs

I feel like we are underperforming

Just read that Sears Holdings is thirteenth most hated company in America. I'm really shocked that we landed that low on the list, would have thought we'd at least make the top five. Customers hate Sears, employees hate Sears... Is there anybody who actually likes this company?

Anyhow, I'm sure we'll be where we belong by the time for the next year's list.

Actually, I like the auto service department when I need to replace a car battery. There is never a hassle. They look up the purchase date and info on battery warranty and honor it! The guys there (Greece NY) are great!

Well sears has fewer customers overall so the hatred is less relevant to the population as a whole. Unlike business like Comcast. Everybody hates Comcast because tons of people have had experiences with them.

He said "focus resources on the best performing stores" but then closed high volume, income producing stores and that has left many employees with the understanding that they are just holding down the property until a big enough check is offered. It's just real estate getting rolled into a fat long term payout protected REIT with fewer shareholders.

What's not to love?

The problem is that the winners have so many more people who realize said company is actually still in business.
