Where on Earth has any business stayed at the top of their industry for 10 years, much less 70 years as SF has. There are times when you have to change A LOT. The entire Agency structure shrunk and a significant number of high paying jobs were cut over a decade ago. Regional office and other locations are started up and shut down over time. It's how business is done. Ironic that SF stays in Illinois. If it were run by Illinois government, they'd continue just being overstaffed and inefficient. But you can't stay in business this way. Unfortunate that the executives who made all the bad decisions leading up to this over the past 10 years are not impacted professionally or financially. But isn't that how all Fortune 50 companies work? This is the toughest situation for loyal soldiers at SF in Bloomington have ever had. Not their fault, but it's becoming real. God bless and good luck to all. The best revenge is "living well" so if you have to leave, find your passion elsewhere, be wildly successful, and never look back.

Not sure what you are referring to by the agency structure shrank. There are more agents today than there have ever been in the companies history. The elimination of the AFO structures did eliminate jobs, but the structure was top heavy and an unnecessary expense. Personally I don’t know how the agents are enduring the excessive change and poor service our customers receive. ECRM will break their backs.
Truth
As an external employee sorry but most of you lived high on the hog for to many years. I knew this day was coming as people were put into management positions that lacked the basic understanding of what those below actually did similar to the executives who are clueless. Bringing over people from India not qualified for positions because it saved cost. Now you get to live through we go through on a day by day week by week month by month year by year bases. At the end of the day the executives who run this company I would in no way allow them to run a lemonade stand. I have many friends affected by this but this is corporate America so enjoy that 1000 bonus you gonna need it once they finish dishmantling the farm.
