Announcements to be made in stores tomorrow. Specialists positions eliminated and all those funds will now fund a storewide sales incentive. Every quarter if your store exceeds sales goal, there will be $$$ awarded to all sales staff which will all be divided depending on hours worked. Executives also eligible. See your People Leader for more information about the new 2018 Path to Growth Incentive. It’s already underway since the new fiscal year.

Left in 2019... Mine was 140 dollars. Pathetic
F* path to growth. The associates do all the hard work and then the managers get the majority of the incentive. Really shY.
I got my PTG as well, it was about $100, roughly $0.20 per hour worked. As some noted below, things get diluted quickly if you work in a store with a lot of employees. So, PTG is a flop...
I got my PTG bonus! Whopping 93.78. Effectively a 16 cent per hour bonus. If you are in a large store and the pot gets split among all the hundreds of employees it is pretty watered down. But of course its all hyped up in store meetings, Facebook and LinkedIn. Investors think the company is doing well by its colleagues but its the same old story.
I don't know how to check how many hours I've worked for the quarter but I was a full-time associate during the quarter. I averaged around 30 hours a week. My incentive bonus is $50.
One of my cowork work 600 hour for the quarter and only got $235. But was being told he/she would get back about $500. So much for that.
It's going to vary from store to store based on number of hours collectively worked and how far beyond sales plan you went.
Wow... that’s too bad the amount was so small. All over LinkedIn you can see postings where every store is celebrating their path to growth success. They all look so happy. I guess they didn’t see their checks yet. I hope the company did not overhype this bonus. The let down could be big.
So here is your answer. I worked. 40 hrs. per week avg. (clocked hrs. does not include breaks or lunch) my incentive bonus was 186.00 so if you times hours worked 40 per week times 3 months (Feb., March and April) it equates to 480 hrs. ÷ into 186.00 paid an extra .3875 per hour. Wow!!!! Thanks Macys!!!
to whomever got $1000 before taxes, was this your quarter bonus? I am a SM at a store that made plan and we have been told FT associates will get on average $190?
Its true. I can verify. Im employed at macys and i still got my merit increase. My store did very well for spring and qualified for bonus! It is based on how many hours worked but it I did the math, I should be getting about $1000 before taxes. This is fantastic!
I can also confirm this. I received $350 bonus incentive as a holiday associate working part time. I started working last November. At the beginning of this year, 2018. Most of the full time associates was given $1000 each as I was told. That’s before taxes. I was given $350 before taxes as I mentioned above. I was not expecting to get anything as I was only a holiday associate. But surprisingly, I did get a bonus!
Depending on numbers .. hope we are not all busting our chops very hard to not receive any bonus pay
Everyone remember, you only receive the bonus if your store makes plan for the quarter. If plan is not met, you receive.......well, you keep you job for now.
Uh no. Macy’s will not be giving us that much. Tops would be like $300 bucks depending on associate’s average hours worked.
We were told this will be like the auto companies getting between $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 annually
Yeah work seven days a week. Lol keep up those long hrs . Work work and keep your fingers cross for that huge bonus. Lol yeah right so gullable.
If you are hourly and the store is union with a bargaining contract you will not receive the incentive. Union associates are not eligible.
We were told this would be a sizable amount well worth working very hard and giving up our weekends off.
Macy's has been moving to combines sales and support, effectively eliminating support altogether. So, I doubt that support associates would be considered in their incentive plans.
No mention of support associates either??
No mention of AST roles in the growth plan?
$1000 each? Lol. In place of yearly increases? Lol again. This is a QUARTERLY incentive and it will be small. Just enough to wet your whistle for one beer and a hamburger when you get it.
How will this work in small stores who haven’t really had “specialist”? Will money of any value be available for those stores? I am talking about stores in 10 million range.
How much is this sales incentive? At my store there's 400+ associates, would we be getting $1000.00 each? Is this in place of yearly increases?
I can confirm this bonuses. Any part time and above associates as well as leaders who are not currently on an incentive plan so sales mgrs. supervisors. Mtms will all qualify
I heard the money will be spent on new My Shop Leaders. Did anyone else hear this rumor of bonuses ?
