Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Transition Turmoil

I’m a 30 year plus employee in claims....waiting to hear when my last day will be. I am just an abused alias. It’s work work, forget about life if you work there. We are working as hard and fast as we can. Apologies to anyone that has a claim with us. We want to get to you but have to focus on unnecessary stats for the company. Hopefully you were around in the good old days and moved on.

They need to move some of the OVPs and top executive back down into the field so they can see the train wreck they caused.

It’s a runaway train now.

I wonder who they are going to blame for this major screw up.

It bad real bad!!!!

State Farm claims is probably one of the worst places to work at this time in history. It literally reminds me of a factory in 1800s.

funny how the thing we were known for (steller claims department) is now in the sh--ter. If it's not broke don't fix it......

I got fired after about 2 years of a gas lighting campaign by my supervisor who made me think every little thing I did was wrong and didn't give me any wiggle room for errors. If I followed process and the customer was upset, I was told I should "think outside the box." If I tried to think outside the box I was reprimanded for not following process. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

The company is now run by a bunch of clueless bean counters.
