Monday March 5th will be the day of the announcement, they will come out later with a mandatory call announcement, it's already scheduled as a town hall, but you will get news that it is mandatory sometime before the call. They were going to announce it a little earlier but they wanted to make sure everyone still pushed for the month number, since they were so close to making it. So here we go.

You didn't read any earnings info did you. There is a number of articles out on our finances. We don't make money in the U.S. It all comes from India, China, Middle East, South America. The only way we came close is through job cuts and outsourcing.

Things are no doubt about to be exposed. Not sure about the "call" tomorrow with Dirk but with the Kroger announcement they have to come clean. They have known this is coming regardless of whose decision it is, don't let management lie and try to tell us "they were committed", they have been preparing for this for years! To go to level of the rally meetings to squeeze some extra from all their employees, knowing it was all bs! Shameful! Not a bit surprised! "Don't worry guys, I got your back"!

They were told in February, although WM lead with Kroger shortly thereafter and they were out end of July. Hummmmm. Now who you gonna believe? They have been planning this for years. Look at all of the signs. Closing branches. Driver's having to drive hours away to deliver. Sales force cut by 1/3. Testing CAO in different parts of the country. Moving bakery to Mexico. We're the last part and our time is about up. Many more companies to follow. DSD is a dinosaur in this day and age.
Agreed! May as well stay and see what happens. Sounds like the end is very close. Take the severance package and draw unemployment until you can find something.
No hitting send on resume isn't reality. If you start getting interviews and job offers you have to risk leaving your current good job for the unknown or burning bridges by turning the offers down. My advice, wait until the end ( not the theoretical end everyone on here sees) and put some money aside. If something does happen, there are many other fine jobs out there.

Look, if something is coming, you can't do anything about it. Those decisions are made years in advance. I worked for General Mills, we were told we would be only plant to supply Golden Grahams. 6 months later they abruptly stopped production for the day and a head honcho was flown in to inform us we were to be closed.
Go about your day to day, save some money on the side in case something happens. It also never hurts to keep resume updated and network with as many people as you can. I work for the Naperville IL plant, I am expecting a closing announcement everyday, just the unfortunate nature of manufacturing in USA but hope it never comes!

Why all the deceit?? What do you think management would say? "Hey employees, we are going to exit dsd soon". This would send lots is people exiting the organization and they want to retain people till the end.

all these morons spouting off about us going away. its never going to happen. We are much bigger then Keebler as a company. we have been CAO with a lot of stores through out the United States for years. Walmart going CAO means nothing as we still will be servicing their stores the same as now.
Keep believing management, smart move! They have always proven to be honest! NOT! I for one don't care either way, just sad to see people believe the bs they are spreading!

Town hall call today said that we're just going CAO. Publix has been CAO for 7 years he said. Stop with the B.S.
