Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

New Operational Model needs checks & balances

Sabre problems were not and are not due to the operational model. So changing Project to Product or Moving to Rally or Waterfall to Agile will not solve the problems.

Far more bigger problem is integrity issues at VP, Director and Managerial levels. Even when MSM, Delivery, PMs, UX, Devs, QA where under different structures there was fraud, nepotism and kickbacks(from 3rd parties). This was not just waste wastage of resources and time, it even resulted in loss of customer trust as it severely impacted the products and services Sabre was offering.

Now with the new model and decision making in hands of few and structure is vertical and hence the risk is higher.

We are already seeing sign of this behavior. If you see something, say something, report it. Don’t be a bystander or worst an accomplice.

Leadership beware of VPs and Directors many of them are smooth talkers, crooks.

@RYiGE6t-zyw I was going to add the same comment. If you see something say something - ONLY TO your family and friends (that don't work for Sabre)! If you see something that isn't right (by company standards or a violation of the Code of Ethics (that they have YOU acknowledge)) - look the other way or leave.

DO NOT - I repeat - Do not go to your manager, HR or anyone else in Sabre - you're as good a gone if you do.

Finally it's spoken in an open space but, who do you talk to on the inside? HR is NOT your friend. HR is there to protect the company from the employee.

I've seen so much but from the leadership team that if I do speak, I'm certain I'm gone first.

Mos Def....There is a crooked director at consulting who manipulated hours, harassed his team and constantly received bad feedback from customers. This guy was reported to HR several times, what happened? Let's see if the new management will notice this guy and others like him.

I agree that you should say something but to who????? It has been my personal experience that when you go to HR with issues of mismanagement in Director and VP level the advice I was given was to leave Sabre. They rather I leave than deal with the issue. So I did tell some, I did speak out to HR and nothing was done hence why I feel I am Targeted for the next Layoff. I wished I had been interviewed by the Consultants that are taking to people about our process but I was not approached. In case you are not aware Sabre has this group of Consultants who has visited India, KRK and now HDQ (I would hope they have visited MVD as well but I am not sure) to discuss our processes. Two things come to mind, planned layoffs or preparing to sell us to a new set of Investors. So again do you speak up when you meet with these guys or not? I was not selected so I won’t know but at Sabre they did not want to hear about the issues we the Employees see. I wished they did. I changed my handle to show DS I am in the boat that jackass.
