Service provider routing & switching is in cross-hairs

Service provider routing & switching is in cross-hairs for sure after years of slow decline and tepid demand . Budgets are being cut , headcount challenges, strategic missteps on not developing own asics in timely manner ... i am not sure what future is... Hitherto safe and lucrative bets like being a director are no longer safe from execs targeting radar

Old news. Been under pressure for years. JD brought in to turn it around. Might actually be working... protecting the good ideas and killing the awful ones. SA almost killed everything worthwhile.

Not surprising. SA in SP routing is doing “on the job training” with a multi-billion dollar business. You’d have thought they would give him something smaller to learn how to run profit/loss business before letting him loose on this.

Entire SP portfolio is screwed up. SPBU is on gas.

All of us know how F’d up Cisco’s SP business is.

There is a difference between SP and SP Networking.

PS: I don't think there is SP switching. There is only SP routing.
