LP Audits

Do all districts/regions have the same audit? In our district the question “Does Store Manager work 2 closing shifts per week?” was implemented on our audit a couple of months ago. If Store Manager misses that question you automatically fail the audit.

To the store manager who is not a victim...what that post showed is that CVS did not value the talent they had and chased them away so fast they had to promote individuals who had not been properly trained. Training is chaotic at CVS. Everybody has their own agenda, managers, trainers, DL’s and HR all want a piece of you. We all know you can only learn so much from a module. If you do not come into this company a seasoned manger to have a chance at success you need to shadow someone who can help you recognize the reasons for your failures and your success, as well as, fill in the blanks. Those that are left who can do that are so bogged down with nonsense they don’t have the time to groom leaders. The training managers think you learn by gathering a class and having them read a paragraph at a time until the module is done and then sign off on their training. 20 years ago you respected trainers because they knew their sh--, “I’ll get back to you” was NOT part of their vocabulary. Just look at some of the DL’s, yes, they have the politics down pat and the ability to robotically pass along the corporate message but very few know the business.

I challenge the manager who is not a victim to take someone under their wing and mold them into a Store Manager, a tall order given the tools CVS supplies you with.

The LP people are trying to prove they belong and have value so they will do anything they can to make managers look bad. The only problem is by the end of the year all these LP people wearing the CVS boxers will be in the unemployment line like everyone else.

Man...I remember not that long ago when I wanted to put in extra hours to show off my store!

Now...they have taken away any pride you may have built up. They created this not rx or front store managers.

You don't really think the surveys are 100% random do you?

Store manager who is not a victim... you are god damn clueless.

Almost none of the L.P. audit questions are actually relevant.

Managers closing two nights per week is a load of crap, they expect us to be in our stores 24/7 but just can’t find a way to put that in writing.

For months I have read these posts and thought “management” was the issue. The previous post clearly shows the area of opportunity. We have a bunch of ill informed managers with limited understanding of the big picture, who fall victim on the accountability ladder, who want to do things the same as they did 20 years ago, and simply need to find another employer to pay their salary. My advice: get over it, move up the accountability ladder, and do your job!

Why is it a loss prevention issue? Are the district leaders too stupid to watch video?

Why is the quick pick a l.p. issue?

Why is truck up in 24 hours an l.p. issue? Don't they trust district leaders either?

Why is c.f.r. a. l.p. issue? If the product is in the store it is not shrink.

These may be operational issues but not L.p. or the new AP issues.

When they looked at the "root cause" what did they find? One answer in all the above ....the manager is the head stock clerk and is not working 80 hrs a week as required.

It's not an automatic fail. It's worth 15 points. You just can't miss anything else.

Who does the LP Audit in your District?

You need to review the audits and points. If it is a pulse check there is no “failure.” If it is a mini audit, there is no way to fail the audit for that sole question even if a repeat deficiency. But, if you are not performing the require shifts, then it becomes a performance issue.

Luckily I hate mornings and I have people who love them, I've never had an issue with this.
