Is it finally done for at least a while? My mom works at Sam's Club and I hate seeing her all stressed out all the time.
I'm hoping there'll be at least some period in which she will be able to properly relax and not worry about whether she'll have a job the next day or next week.
Any info would be appreciated.
Ask your Market Manager to guarantee in writing that he will personally pay your wages for the remainder of the year if your position is eliminated.
My market manager continues to tell us nothing is happening to our jobs this year. Not sure that they would tell the market managers if a position is getting eliminated, maybe they tell them the day prior to letting everyone else know. But just what he’s personally told me and my team.
The Year Beginning Meeting that is coming up is the next big likely time for large changes, but the culture has completely changed here and even after the meeting I wouldn't ever feel as safe in my job as I once did.
I don't even care about the severance pay anymore. Not worth the stress. I'll be gone before the end of the month. Good luck to all of you.

Very Sad, when good people Managers and Associates are so demoralized and sickened by what has transpired that they are wishing for Severance just to be relieved of the Stress and terrible working conditions, living under constant threat and intimidation by Market Mngrs., Home Office Personnel.
Corporate Leadership especially. How can any organization survive like this? Those that left will be better off . Those who remain behind, get out when you can, while you can. It's only a matter of time before its your turn. Terrible situation for the entire company. Getting worse by the day, and everyone knows it. There is no justification for these conditions. Just unreal in this day and age, that it is allowed to go on. Vote with your feet for change, you are in control of your lives.
After the YBM meeting I am hoping they close down the membership department and offer me a severance package
I'd assume after this Monday/Tuesday meetings it will paint a picture of what is coming.
Stress is a killer. Nothing we can do about job cuts so just be prepared if it happens and hope you skate thru the next round whenever it happens. No one is safe here anymore.
