This store has been in Green Bay since the early 60s. So sad to see it go.

Sears used to be a one stop shop. However, competition from brick and mortar, as well as online retailers, combined with poor decisions and lack of investment by Sears higher-ups, has led to Sears declining over the last 20+ years
Some things he remembers buying as a child, Sears stopped selling decades ago...
"Everything a kid could possibly imagine needing — clothes, winter clothes, shoes, sporting goods, records. And everything he can’t imagine needing — carpet, drapes, house paint, tires and tools."
I only learned of the paint a few months ago, but didn't know about the carpet and drapes, or records.
Very sad. It's about the same age as mine then, which is also closing.
