Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

My opinion

All we know is that Humana was laying off an additional 250 in Jan 2018. No one knows what department or if HAH is even on the chopping block.Everyone needs to stop freaking out and just prepare for the future. We all know there is no rhyme or reason associates are chosen to be rif’d while others stay. Since it appears random, there is nothing anyone can do in the last few weeks of the month to get off the chopping block. What happens will happen and you will waste so much time on worry when there are no changes you can make to influence the situation.

OP was far from rude. I was referring to the others pouncing on OP

@1oci... I agree that the original poster was rude and condescending by claiming that people who seek information are "freaking out." The whole purpose of this site is to: "Post information you know, rumors you heard, your experiences, or contribute to the discussion by answering or asking about layoffs at Humana." So, if you don't want to read those types of comments then you shouldn't visit this site. Criticizing people for asking questions, posing thoughts, and looking for information is not helpful or respectful.

So do members go to LTIH 2.0

I heard LTIH4 would be gone effective 4/1. I'm still seeing my members weekly.

OK. So no such thing as LTIH 4 effective immediately. I'm not worried. Humana just wants to give us a break from our heavy workload, I am sure. FCM Humana at Home here, FYI.

Wal-Mart employees got a raise on the backs of all the Sam 's Club employees they let go without notice. They closed 70 stores and didn't even tell their employees. At least we will get notice

Stick with the Valium, but steer clear of Walmart. ;) They announced today they are laying off thousands of workers, closing many Sam’s Club stores. We all need some Valium!

Worked here for 4 years, If I had known this company was always laying off staff I would never have signed on. I need a Valium and a job at Walmart as a greeter, heard they got a raise this week.

It sounds like you have good intentions OP, but I do agree with below poster. Not everyone looking for info is freaking out. Not everyone is emotional. Some of us just want to know.

Not freaking out. Just looking for inside information. Which I've gotten in the past year. Every. Single. Time. Four times. You go ahead and cope your way, sweetie, and let me cope my way without your judgment.

Wonder if it was a long list, and they did the first part the end of last year, with coaches knowing who the next tier of layoffs would be when it happened.

So true! The cuts, if any, have been determined. They would have had to submit cuts to HR already if it's happening next week. Nothing anyone can do to change this outcome! Pray for the best, expect the worst.
