Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Funny how people accused others of lying about layoffs.....

And spreading “rumors” “gossip” (eye roll). You better start paying attention to ANYTHING that could possibly be true and grateful people are posting anything since obviously you won’t directly hear it from Club/Market managers. I am so glad Sams/Walmart isn’t my career....I wouldn’t dare invest 10+ years with such an awful company. We can clearly see how and why Costco stays winning year after year! Their company truly does care about their employees! Be smart, start looking for better companies who care about your future to work for especially if you are under 30!! We are the Tech generation and Brick and Mortar retail is a thing of the past!!

Oh come on people Sam's is not the only store that has closed a number of stores. Retail as a whole is falling apart. I do feel comfortable in the longevity of Sam's. It's not like they closed stores that hit plan, gave Sam's Share, etc. these clubs were losing money! I have seen major improvements with our online and club pickup business in the past 5 years. That is the future. Not having a club every 10 feet.

Not like sams will be around much longer. Yesterday was the beginning of the end.

Reminds me of how K-mart went.

To the entitled millennial that posted this... With that attitude Sam's Club doesn't want/or need you in any facet!

Nicely said to the 20 year old that just posted about college etc... I started Sams club when I was 21 and I'm still there at 50.... Wish I had gone to college when I was your age....and good luck to you and your future too... 💛

Crazy someone would post this because I am 20, got hired at Sams a few days after my 18th Bday as a Cashier and now I work Member Service FT. Seeing all the changes have motivted me to go to college this summer to atleast get an Associates or go get a trade certification in something with Tech/Computer Science. Later I will go for Bachelor when I make more money. I wanted to be a Marketing coordinator long term but I see right now that probably isn’t possible. I’ve been saving to pay for classes since last years layoffs, I am proud I can afford to go part time school on my own and that it’s not too late for my future! I hope everyone affected can recover from the job losses and I wish you luck!
