I am an employee of Sam’s who is losing their job because my store is closing. It does sound like they are going to be good to us. Unfortunately the next closest Sam’s is like 89+ miles away. There are 3 Wal-Marts, but I heard one of them is being closed also. With all the employees (approximately 100 just from Sam’s, not all will be placed. It’s just devastating, especially in an area where jobs are not so available.

Do you honestly think any of the Walmart stores will take any long term associates? I don't think so, why hire one when you can hire two people. Isn't this what they want? Shame on you Sam's!!!!

I am very sorry that you are going through this but do not pass by the chance to work for one of those Walmarts. You may or may not be surprised with how many workers in said Walmart’s are doing just enough to get by or do not care if they work or not and you have the chance to show Walmart what you are made of.
Keep your head up and make the best out of what you have and that, my friend, is getting in there and making them happy that they gave you a chance (no matter it be Walmart or wherever you decide to work at next.) I believe in you and believe you got this. Go get em.
