Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Amazon buying stores?

Our DM told us in a conference call that Amazon is buying 200 stores. Anyone else hear anything about this?

You think the largest distributor in the world is going to buy outdated, dilapidated stores? Your smoking the good stuff

@@RdG96gB-try Right at the pointer honestly DM don't do nothing in my opinion to earn that salary. Especially at this point where the company is running dry they rather cut the bottom barrel people that make very little and protect upper management.

Also don't believe Amazon would want to buy any properties unless they were dirt cheap. At this point the smartest move is to wait for bankruptcy when everything will just be so cheap to buy.

Amazon's opening of brick and mortar stores are only for pick-up locations. They already have a few store fronts in my area to pick up items if you dont want to wait for delivery. That is all they are doing. Any Sears or Kmart would be way to large for a small store front they are using

@aso DMs are the biggest fakes in the company. Micromanaging and getting nothing accomplished except stressing the workers.

What exactly do they do to grow sales, bring customers in to the stores? Zero

They just blame the cashiers for not signing up all the invisable customers up for SYW or credit

Amazon would not allow any public discussion over any possible deal. That causes problems with the SEC unless Amazon or Sears publicly discloses it an official news release. Your DM Is misinformed, stupid , or a liar, IMO.

Yep, that's the ticket, believe everything that the DM tells you. SHLD DMs are absolute fountains of truth, transparency and righteousness.

Some of the Lampert/SHLD stock fans have been tossing around the fairy tale that Amazon might buy all or some portion of the stores. It's delusional, like everything these people claim.
