Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Transferring to same pay?

Anybody knows if those who decide to transfer to other Sam's Clubs and manage to land the same position they were in will get the same rate of pay they earned throughout the years or will they have to start from scratch again?

Just trying to figure out if it's worth even attempting to apply to another Sam's.

Our audit gal lost money with the new job she got. That's why they went to job ratings. You do not get to keep your pay unless you go to same level.

If you lose your job because they did away with it, and you get another job in the same club or transfer to another club , your rate of pay stays the same as your were making before the change. I know this because when they got rid of the audit team we had to go back and pup their pay and give them back pay.

Pretty sure the pay policy states that if your job is eliminated and you have to take another position that you won't lose any money. The only way you would lose money is if you are a long term associate making over $20 and you are taking a position in a lower pay grade and that cap is 19.95. You can't make anything more than what the pay cap is for your new job level

Some clubs have a higher rate of pay. Such as Bloomington, MN starts at 12.00$ so all positions are pumped up .50 cents. But the majority of time if you keep the same position it stays the same.

What the person commented is correct :) if you transfer to another club in the same state (each state has different staring minimum wage which effects overall wage) you are in in the same level position that you are in your pay will not change. If the position you accept is a level higher or lower your pay will reflect that. If you go into your career preference you can select different position at different levels and it will show you what you would make if you were to apply for the position.

If it’s a Sam’s club (not walmart) and within the same state your rate of pay should be the same. If you choose another position & it’s a level change, it could be more or less.
