Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

So what’s new? More pay for the stores always means layoffs and closings

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m personally fed up with working my butt off with not enough people in the home office to do the required work but every month they lay off more and more good and talented people. It seems every other months people are being let go at corporate. When is enough too much? Kerry killer being let go was the end of any former Walmart family. Now it is no matter how much you work, how good you are, no one is safe. This is no longer Walmart. This is jet.com at its finest. Are we at 5,000 laid off at the home office yet??? I think it’s close or slightly over.

Me too ! I'm not an invoicing person and I am doing that 80 percent of the time! Because they only have 6 associates in the area!

Don't forget to add those of us that left of our volition because we saw the writing on the wall. I could no longer stay in that toxic environment not knowing where I truly stood with my skills and work production. The annual review process is a total joke as were my 1x1s with my manager. (A 1x1 - one on one - is a biweekly meeting with your manager to go over what you are working on, accomplishments and goals.) My trust in leadership stopped back in 2009 when Project Harvest was initiated. At that point they showed me they were clueless and became more so as the years went on.
