How many people will stay through months of little to no money while we are guinea pigs for the company?

Verizon is no difference than any other company. Managers b--ch when reps make more money. DMs look bad when sh-- products don’t sell. So what do u do? You f--- reps who actually work, and get high numbers. Makes sense, right?

Nothing to celebrate. We're all people. Just deal with it and get on with your work.

Each generation has something unique to offer. We should celebrate the generational diversity.

The young-uns have a false sense of security with their phones. I shudder to imagine one of them stuck on the road without cell service. They'd be completely clueless. Phones are fun and cool, but no substitute for good old fashioned manliness.

my spider sense had a hidden agenda in that laughable post , that of pugilist, ruffian, curmudgeon, atheist, anarchist, moonie, private dancer, pickle eating, peasant, smelly mustache twirling straight shooting son of a gun. Yet the rank and file didn't care.

My neighbors kid didn't know how to get into his car when the battery in his car KEY went dead.

Obviously the model Verizon uses to pay the sales side is changing. Why? Because we can't compete the way things are today. Same goes for the union side as Verizon slowly puts on the squeeze. Tough but necessary to compete.

As for the sales guy who sticks his nose up about highly educated people not knowing how to do things on their phone, the ability to play with your phone may seem like the epitome of intelligence to you, but sorry to break your bubble. Phones are just a tool if you choose to use them. many people don't care that much about learning to use them and that is perfectly fine. Most of you younger people don't care about learning how to work on cars and that is ok to us older folks who chuckle about the phone experts who don't know how to put brakes on their car or even change a wiper blade. To each their own.

I suspect @2cgn had a hidden agenda in that silly post, that of demagogue, firebrand, fomenter, incendiary, inciter, instigator, kindler, agitator, rabble-rouser, even provocateur. Yet the rank and file didn't fall for it.

Nice try troll.

If wireless was Unionized your pay would probably be going up and up instead of down and down, but heaven forbid we anger the mighty VZW gods and disrupt the current system

F--- OFF Verizon union workers

Go climb a pole with all your buddies and sit in your trucks for hours at a time and spend hours at jobs and do nothing.

When I had verizon installed least year it took 8 tec all together to install wire from the pole to the house. 6 boxes installed with no new wiring run inside the house, previous wires used to hook up boxes. Total time spent between 8 tec 8 plus hours to finish the job.

Why would a company that has higly trained tec need so many people to do the job. And all make $120,000.00 plus after over time. If thats not over payed then what is . Union guys say verizon retail make too much. I made $55000.00 last year made $60000.00 year before $65000.00. But union guys just keep going up and up and up. But also f--- verizon greedy peices of sh--.

To the a-- that thinks we make to much with our degree, come stand In a store and help idiots making 5 times more with doctorate degrees that can't remember their own damn password or apple Id, or can't figure out how to turn their damn phone on after it got turned off. Just because you've got a lot of money or have some great degree doesn't make you any better, or any smarter than anyone else. I deal with idiots all day that talk down to me, yet it's me that is there to save them from their own stupidity......now go back and pretend to do your job, union troll!

I will wait to see what our DM does and says in our stores when January is over and nobody made money because of the team compensation. How can anyone expect months 2-6 to proceed successfuly with morale at an all time low?

Thanks for making my point for me. Exactly how is Verizon supposed to be competitive when it pays a retail clerk $70k - $85k a year? Those days are numbered.

So people with college degrees are working as retail clerks? You know you don't need a college degree to con people into buying crap they don't need right? Sounds like 8 out of 10 people in your store need to get ambitious and move out of your useless town.

8 out of 10 reps at my store have a Bachelors and the other 2 have an associates degree. Love seeing the comments undermining verizon retail employees as uneducated workers. I work in a very low cost of living part of the country and have made between 70-85k a year over the past 6 years. Its damn near impossible to find a job in that range in my town.

Walmart now pays it's clerks $11 an hour. Grass seems pretty green over there. Your future is calling.

Why not just get a college degree and get a better job? If you’re here complaining about commission, you need to add to your skill set. Does anyone here really think they can retire from a Retail Job? Walmart at least offers consistent pay.

They have trialed it numerous times over the past few years. They tried it at two stores in my district 2 years ago and it was miserable. Team commission trials are nothing new with verizon.

The team based commission plan is only being tried in 5 districts across the company. The trial is for 6 months with the possibility it will roll out corporate wide based off the results. Hopefully it doesn't go corporate wide at it is a sh-- show.

What kind of plan do they have everyone on? Obviously a store commission, and what regions are they trialing this sort of thing? Interested to see how long before it spreads.

I make minimum $2000-3000 comp monthly. So am I going to stay for a comp check that will end up being $700 before taxes? NOPE. Most of the top specialists I have talked to are planning an exit from the company. Sounds like before the trial is at its mid point most will be gone.

Aren't we so lucky. Just bend over and take it with no lube. No store in our district is on pace to hit their sales dollar bucket. Based off of what we have seen so far, my guess is that at least 75% of our districts SS will most certainly make less money than they did last year. As a result, it will drive people to quit or look for employment elsewhere. Top performers under the old plan are looking to make anywhere from $1000 to $3000 less EACH month now. Who would want to stay?
