“We won’t do any further business with exNDS because we don’t trust Cisco will keep it viable”.

Including Cablevision in NY?

I’ve known several customers say “We won’t do any further business with exNDS because we don’t trust Cisco will keep it viable”. Seems they were right. Maybe the upside is that once Cisco has sold it - trust will return and so will the customers ?

If you are looking for job security, I suggest that you consider opening your own business and becoming your own boss.

That's one way to make a profit! Permira definitely saw Cisco coming when they purchased NDS originally. Now Cisco have worked their magic on SPVSS, they get to buy it back at bombed out prices!

All part of the business cycle :)

Spoke with some seniors in SJ and there is talk to pair down some of the unneeded stuff from IVP, but selling out to a private equity firm at a loss is a bit much.

I would hardly say, 'long troubled' - more like mis-managed. And yes we have been told to expect some kind of an announcement at the beginning of February.
