JF also stated that the stock dividend was his highest priority. And insinuated that he wouldn’t cut it. We saw how that worked out.

The poster of this thread has definitely been sipping the Kool-aid a bit. What JF said was he didn't say there was going to be a break up. Well, that's true, he didn't, and neither did the media. What the media reported was JF said that the current structure of the company was being examined and could potentially be changed, and in todays video he said the exact same thing. Like it or not , that would potentially point to a break up.

So, is he saying there is no insurance hit now. All the financial networks were just reporting what he said during an investor call, so it sounds to me like either he was misquoted by every major financial publication out there, or now he's trying to backpedal so as not to make things look as bad as they in fact are. Which is it? I have a pretty good idea.

JF is trying to get ahead of a story line where GE management is criminally liable for poor reporting. The medical insurance liability has been there for years. Years. How could it suddenly be found in a review? It has been reviewed for years, over and over. Were the people doing the calculations lying?

Were the reviewers complicit? GE hasn't issued a medical insurance policy since something like 2006. Why all of a sudden is there a $15B liability?
