A. Pay is a lot lower.

B. Regulations are a less. Meaning US execs don't care if you pollute somewhere else.

C. I don't think there is a C. Just A and B.

"India is incapable of making a decision and needs to constantly be told what to do....step by painfully outlined step"

I find this interesting, as while it is a general perception that is widely understood, I wonder why this is? Is it truly a cultural thing, or a communication thing? Are our co-workers in India given these highly-valued roles with U.S. based companies because they are meticulous in following orders, OR are they afraid to apply creative thinking because of the language/communication gap and they might misunderstand a minute detail and be reprimanded for it?

Probably, this is not the forum for discussion on it, but it plays heavily into why roles and responsibilities are moving off of U.S. soil to other countries.

1bnu - You don't even need to sabotage anything....they sabotaged themselves. what these dipshits dont get is you get what you pay for. I hate to generalize ( really do becasue they are some nice people) but it is true and has been proven and is seen every day...day in day out. India does not innovate, India does not put out a good product, whether its software or anything else, India is incapable of making a decision and needs to constantly be told what to do....step by painfully outlined step. While the India worker is much cheaper it takes between 3 to 5 of them to get the same output or quality and add to the fact someone in the US, Canada or Europe needs to tell them what to do. Things (anything) done in India takes 2 to 3 times longer to complete. I could go on and on but I won't...

And then people wonder how Trump happens....Dare anyone mention putting America first we are racists xenophobes.....while the rest of the world clearly put their country first usually at the expense of the US. just sayin'...

-1bnu -- it really seems inappropriate that you need to reference 'Nazi's' on this post. :( unless you are thinking of Hogan's Heros :) As sad as it has been for the past few (many) years it seems like the actions of the HI gang is in line with what all of corporate America is going through. I recall the great years where employees were valued and rewarded. This has long gone by the wayside.... The best way to deal with this environment is to keep looking for something better while you can - then if (when) you find it jump. Take what you can from this experience and make your life better. Nothing will ever make what has happened right - there are other fields where your talents will be valued. Make your future bright

Oh yeah! I'll train him up all right hahahahaha. I'll train him to be the absolute best he can be! You know, the Nazis, much like the leadership in Honeywell, used to force prisoners to help the war effort by building tanks or airplanes or ammunition. Many of these workers gladly accepted this role, but then secretly sabotaged the item they would work on so it would fail soon after being put into service. The leadershit should consider that when puting Americans out of work in favor of our Indian friends.

I enjoyed training my replacement. Told them up front they should start looking because they would not be able to get this stuff to work.

@1ase. Not Trolls. There was a meeting yesterday w new VP of EOPS and this was announced to all in the organization. Just because it may not affect you doesn’t make it false news. It definitely does affect a significant amount of people, from director level down. Volunteers by jan 24; full RIF may take 6-8 weeks; if your Indian replacement needs training it is required or no severance.

Bye bye USA, hello India. And Hola Mexico. Oh bye bye Canada too.

For what it’s worth, the new VP sounded almost sad to deliver the news. Maybe he’s a decent person caught in a terrible company. We all have our reasons for hanging on as long as possible.

Good luck to all.

Honeywell has been good to me for a long career until now. My whole department will be gone. But I can’t let it negate a great 20 years. I’m just sad.

Gotta wonder about credibility here since PSE is called Production Support Engineering.

Other than bringing in foreign "resources" to fill the gaps, there was nothing but a skeleton crew left in PSE at the site I used to work at. There wasn't any dead wood left to cut. But...it IS Honeywell.

Heard this before. Do you have an email?

Wouldn’t hurt Engineering as PSE Engineers are just glorified expediters. In Phx. they never get to engineer anything. As for all the rest of PSE, the leadership needs to be fired anyway.

If you are laid off, in time you’ll look back and think it was the best thing that ever happened to you do chin up.

That's why they are rolling in EOPS to PSE, so they can pick up the slack left by the RIF'd. Productivity is low, so we need to let go of a bunch of people. Dipshts. SMH

An official quotation about my life:

"The best moment is when I finally left Honeywell Aero for a much sophisticated and well-respected aerospace corporation elsewhere. I finally saw the light!"

It was a dark age at Honeywell. So Sad!

Dairyass flat out said they will not use any of this money for hiring or employees. They're gonna use it to pay themselves healthy bonuses, buy and then bankrupt more companies and excercise stock buy backs. If you're an employee at HON,you get nothing.

Nice to see US corporations jumping right on using their yuge tax breaks to create jobs in the US and expand pay and employment in the US.

It is not PSE, it is EOPS Engineering Tools affected. We just got moved to PSE because our VP retired. Eng Tools is now lead by India, and many in US/ Can will be RIFfed. Nothing surprising, since HON "leaders" LOVE Indiar.

Pardon the ignorance but what products do these PSEs support? Applications or products? Would be awesome if these were Sentience engineers....finger crossed

Does this impact US only? are they offshoring to a Sh--Hole country like India?

PSE = Product Support Engineer. It's a good thing customers HATE getting support on products, otherwise this would be a disaster. Besides, Honeywell products are so good, most of the PSEs are sitting around like the old Maytag repairman, bored out of their minds with nothing to fix.

2/3 of USA and Canada. Is this the official 60 day WARN notice I wonder? Also know this. If you don’t train your replacements you will not get a severance.
