Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Crooks are walking away with store

With the reduction in loss prevention, we’re seeing more broken security tags, ripped off tickets, and empty hangars all over in each our fitting rooms. We won’t have any merchandise left to sell or pick for fulfillment. Does anyone know what the plan is for this?

One of the big problems is that they refuse to assign a dressing room person to check in items when they enter. Wal-Mart does it better than Macy's. So sad.

There are great APM's that have great rapport and executive relationships with store VPSM, and all managers....your comment is untrue. The increase in theft is nationwide not just Macys. Reducing shortage will most likely be done a little different within the stores. Be patient.

I hope they steal the Store into the ground. AP has s---ed for a while. but it was better than nothing. Second rate AP manger people walking around our store like they own the place but have 0 zero partnerships with the Store staff. All of them being laid off should show you how much they valued that job

The security staff in our store was cut more than a year ago. We may only have one or two now if even that. Never see them anymore. I see people I know are ripping us off but I can’t ring up customers and be security. The fitting rooms are so obvious with signs of crooks every day. Very unsafe.

How can you already be seeing an increase in all this when the AP managers are still working until the end of the month? If the have “quit doing their job” because they are getting cut then that’s a different issue.
