Anyone have any insight on field solutions engineers (formerly solutions consultants) in NAA? We went thru a transformation to make everyone demo monkeys with a centralized team responsible for even simple configuration for customer demos. Doesn’t seem like a good sign.

This post seems to add further confirmation that all the roles in the field sales organization is moving to OD.
According to posts on this site there is GVP confirmation that all field sales engineers will be terminated by June 1st 2018. This role (field sales engineers) is being transferred to the Oracle Digital hubs coming online in March 2018. Your job is being shipped to OD with in a few months. This is just part of the change, "Demo Monkey" is the new norm.
