IT was a huge organization - I understood up to 5000 heads at its recent peak? A 500-1000 head cut would be certainly news within Intel, but perhaps just good business practice outside. This would then fall into the ongoing narrative of targeted project/group layoffs, not the wholesale cuts of an ACT. I think that is what we will see throughout 2018. Beyond that is just a guess.
I heard it was 500 in AZ IT.
I hear it’s its 1000 world wide. It did not hit news or make waves so I’m wondering if this is the accurate or another rumor mill churning.
Be interesting to see the H1b apps to refill those positions. Maybe they'll just outsource IT to Wipro or Tata. :(
