Management succession at oracle is a complete and total joke. Three old stooges running the company with nobody to take over, then again as they are running the company into the ground, there soon won’t be anything for anybody to take over. Plus nobody from the outside with any experience and gravitas would want the ceo job at oracle at this point in time. So oracle is royally F:ed all around. Abandon ship!

There is no succession plan because LE is an egomaniac and has decided that oracle will die when he dies. Judging by oracle’s ongoing demise, both have one foot in the grave already.
The irony of that would of course be that MH had already completely destroyed his reputation at HP when he got fired by HO and hired by the hapless LE, but he would be oblivious of that

I’m sure you’re a nice person, but you haven’t spend your entire life building up a reputation as a world class executive. so while i’m sure you have a good reputation among those who know you, to put it simply, you don’t have enough of a reputation to destroy to make it worth oracle’s while to pay you a lot of money for you to destroy it while masquerading as oracle ceo.

Why wouldn't anyone outside would want to be a CEO at Oracle ? Even Uber could find a CEO replacement after what it went through. Oracle is not bad. It still makes tonnes of money and has sh-- load of cash. There are lot of paying enterprise large customers.
How many CEOs of public companies have you known? Most of them definitely care about their reputations, it’s key to their continued employment if nothing else. And then there is oracle with H#d the T#d as CEO - what a joke!

Isn't being CEO at a Fortune 500 firm typically a "last gig"? You make a ton of money, and then you retire. Sure, there are exceptions, but they are few.
Yeah, he could pay somebody some outrageous amount and they may consider it, but for normal CEO level pay, no way! Joining oracle at that level is a career killer, you only do it for an amazing amount of money as a last gig.
