APMs will become Asset Protection Assistant Manager. Will report directly to the store manager, will work the same schedules as an assistant manager, and all the same basic assistant manager functions on the flooralong with their specifics. 2 closing, 1 mid, and 2 open shifts per week, one full weekend off, one full weekend working. Will become part of the store Assistant Manager structure but will not rotate areas as assistant managers rotate areas, they will stay in role specific positions. Store managers will do their evals with input from MAPMs (currently it is the other way around).
Hopefully all APMs have a good relationship with their Store Manager, if not, life may have just gotten tough. Always maintain a professional relationship in your business, respect all associates. You never know who will be in charge next.
MAPM and Mkt HR roles were eliminated at Sam's Club, may look for this to happen in the future.
