Thread regarding ConAgra Foods Inc. layoffs

let's rip off the California taxpayer

Sean CONNOLLY'S mantra of "Integrity in Everything We Do" apparently does not apply to those over taxed residents of California. ConAgra is a major player behind a ballot inititive that would stick the California taxpayers with clean up costs from lead based paints that ConAgra sold to the public years ago. Just another example of the attitude of our SLT. Screw the peons. And walk away smiling.

I guess it would be safe to say that you will not read about this horrible action by Seanagra in the World Herald or any of the Chicago papers.

The courts reduced the penalty for ConAgra's ( and 2 other companies) from $1.8 BILLION to $600 million. But that is not good enough for Sean and his scumbags. Spend a few million, pretend that you are actually helping people and walk away free as a bird. A very special kind of evil from our SLT.

A accurate quote from the article.

"But the implication that defendants facing a $600-million judgment are doing anyone a favor by sticking taxpayers with the bill deserves to be laughed into oblivion. And the initiative they're promoting deserves to be voted into a place in the corporate hall of shame, right near the top."

Here is the link for those sufficiently embrassed by the attitude of ConAgra.
