Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Sam's not the only retail company cutting back...

NEW YORK (AP) — Toys R Us, squeezed by Amazon.com and huge chains like Walmart, will close 180 stores, or about 20 percent of its U.S. locations, within months.

Hobbled by $5 billion in debt, the company that once dominated toy sales in the U.S. filed for bankruptcy protection in September.

This will also include some Babies R Us stores

So as you an see, retails chains are in Big Trouble. Amazon is going to squeeze them all out of business. In my opinion you can blame the younger "millennials" who are the driving force behind online shopping.

Sams talks about Ethics? And they raise the price on items ALL THE TIME and then have an instant savings on those items. Shame !!! But they care so much about the members. NOT!!!!

Personally, I think it's time someone gave Walmart a taste of its own medicine. How many companies did they put out of business? Karma. Amazon has them running scared and it's hilarious. I work at Sam's cause of my boss, convenience, and pay. The company, in general, is scum.

Toys "R" Us didn't do what Walmart did and even Target is doing and now they are paying for their missteps. I hate to see iconic chains go, so hopefully they'll be able to survive.
