EIP in today, and as I (and others here expected) this is basically just bumping up a comparatively bad standard bonus for the year. I only barely made more than last year with the combined bonuses--and that's after being bumped up to a higher percentage tier due to promotion.

I appreciate that they did it at all, and that they've reset the standards for 2018 so that we can still pull in a potentially decent bonus even if our leadership can't get personal auto's problems completely solved just yet.

Best of luck to everyone outside of the hubs as the company continues to centralize ops.

Taxed up? We weren’t told that. Better than the alternative. Thx 4 the info.

Tacoma is just part of it... don't forget about ALL the other locations that are closing.

Haha, a thousand, sweet! This economy is going to start booming, wait until all the illegals are kicked outta here. Once companies see the tax benefit they will start hiring back everyone they canned. SF will become even greater than it was before. I think if we can stop wasting money on medicare and SS, we will see an economy we’ve never seen before, especially for working people. Good things are coming!!!

SF doesn't want to admit that it's because of tax cuts but I think it is. Why? because SF has been doing terrible, just look at Tipsord's occasional message of "we're really below goal, we need to do better". We have been losing money in auto like crazy but we're getting 1000 bonuses for our "contributions". Which hasn't happened in the 4 years that I've worked there, not once. Nah, that doesn't make sense. Also, Tacoma is closing but, as everyone knows, its because SF is centralizing operations to the new hubs. So if you're in CA or WA then you should try and transfer to AZ because that's where they're moving all the jobs. Nothing to do with this bonus.

It has nothing to do with Trump. If you haven’t noticed, every company that is giving these bonuses are also laying off over 1000 employees. It’s nothing but a PR stunt to make the big wigs look like good guys.

When I saw that email, I knew some more horrific announcement is coming down the pike. The actual cs's in injury are drowning. They are looking such good people. Is that the plan?? Downsize by attrition?

Hurts.

Thanks primarily to the Trump tax cuts and Co. financials are trending upward...we’re even starting to grow some auto policies again.

The company culture is not what it used to be and employees are understandably unhappy about the current state of affairs, but there’s too much silly talk here about the demise of the company...that’s not happening right now.

Definitely partly due to tax cuts and partly due to abysmal EIP.

Going to sound like a whiney liberal, but going from 35% to 21% tax rate is more like $20,000+ per employee if we say 65k employees using 2016s profits. Meanwhile we are cutting employees. Why not $1000 raises, since they'll be saving on taxes for years to come.

Peanuts compared to what they're saving. That being said I'm glad I'm getting something. But it's not enough to celebrate Trump over.

I doubt Donald Trump had anything to do with it.

It is applicable to those who are eligible for the incentive plans. That leads me to believe that the final performance numbers for 2017 are in and they are WAY below last year's Lower budget for raises, and much lower bonus will sink morale even further.

However, it was a nice surprise after these past few stressful months

In Tacoma we would prefer job security over this. A bonus does no good when our office is being closed and we won't all keep our jobs here.
