What is a planner with touch base. Asking for a friend at home office who got a planner for 9:30 this morning

Also, you could be sent a planner to meet in your boss' office, then shortly before the meeting time, have the location change to a vendor room in the lobby. They are trying to be sneaky and not tip you off to the fact that you are going to get hit.
My email only says comanager meeting.....what's the crystal ball say about that?
Wrong! Have friends who got planners with the subject line "touch base" they were laid off. You all are reading too much into this stuff; don't get hung up on the wording, Any reason you are being invited to anything could be leaderships way to lure you out to your session to get laid off.
A better way to maybe figure it out is what room is the meeting planner for? Is it in the lobby area? That's your clue. You are likely going to be let go in a room that is outside of the typical security perimeter that requires badge access. Think about why that is? It is for security reasons.
My husband received a touch base planner this morning. He was laid off.
I hope for your friends sake, my touchbase yesterday was to meet with someone from HR to be eliminated
Something is changing to you (more or different work, reporting, etc.) - you are not laid off
On days like this, a touchbase planner often means that someone else on the team was impacted and the person receiving the touchbase could be asked to absorb some of the workload of the person/people who are gone. Or it could mean that leadership is impacted and now the person receiving the touchbase planner is going to report to a different leader.
Typically just a catchup meeting with your supervisor or mentor.
Prayers are with you.
