I am in ISD. Does anyone else who has been let go with an invitation in the late morning start cleaning up their pod with a song list playing in their heads as they await the ax? I do. “The Greatest Love of All” (the original, not the Whitney Houston version) and “Take This Job and Shove It” by Johnny Paycheck are on heavy rotation in my head right now.

It always happens in the morning. They round you up in groups and go over it. It is very sad that most people have to leave a place and come to Bentonville. Then they are let go, and may need to uproot thier lives to find a new job somewhere else. 1000 people is like 6% of the walmart workforce at the home office complex. Pretty crappy odds of taking a job here. All this while precious Dougie and the other execs get there huge bonuses while patting themselves on their backs. Another one bites the dust.
