Most Merchandise specialist got let go and the ones that they kept are moving over to Associate Buyers.

This is true. Merch Specialist were either promoted or let go. They were not given an option. That was the point of that role to begin with. Move up or move on.
confirmed. I don't know if I would say they will be moved over, rather offered an option to move into the role of AB.
