Thread regarding Sears layoffs

I'm a FJ lead on vacation right now. I go back next Tuesday. I checked my schedule and I'm still on...

(continued)...for next week. Does this mean I'm safe? Or am I really laid off and will get this news when I come in Tuesday of next week (and the whole "being on the schedule" is all smoke and mirrors)?

(I schedule myself normally, but cannot do that while away on vacation, so the store manager would have put my hours in to WFM).

You may still be on the schedule but your max hours will be at 30 hours instead of 40, so you have lost 10 hours of pay a week or 20 hours in a pay period. You will no longer be a lead but a coordinator. no more leads in any store. Store volume does not matter. I worked at a Top 25 store for the Kmart side and we had this happen to us 2 years ago. It is now hitting the Sears side. Every store in the company is going to this model.
