Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Definition for depts/roles.

Can someone define what these roles/depts mean/do?:

SF Digital, CCC, CDE, ICP, ISC, ISD, UOE, etc

Thanks, Gracias, Mahalo!

Many ISD folks came from the old EIS department (enterprise internet services). My understanding is the EIS department became a collection of dysfunctional folks who had trouble succeeding everywhere else and had nowhere else to go. They didn't really "do" anything of value but manage vendors and pass the work off as their own. EIS was sort of the perfect embodiment of the overall problem at State Farm, where people who don't add value just hang around and collect salaries while building political networks and pretending to create results.

Most of them ended up in ISD, which explains why ISD has been a failure. Now most of them are hanging around in the new Digital department, which explains why that group has done nothing but reorg since inception. Many of the leaders (director/avp/mgr) in the new Digital group can be traced right back to EIS, with the same dysfunctions, so by end of 2018 we will have another reorg in Digital/ISD with nothing to show for 2018 progress, I bet.

Sounds like they want to write a piece about the downfall of SF, but are looking into mostly useless outdated terms 😂
