Yet another blow

Apple plans to put custom processors inside at least three more Macs by the end of the year, according to Bloomberg. There are no details on what the chips will be used for, but the report says they’ll appear in updated laptops and a new desktop.

Those are coprocessors for various low power tasks. No competition to Intel, as Intel does not have this kind of product.

It‘s amazing to think that retarded people like OP who don‘t understand this actually work for Intel.

Good read, Apple does more volume on processors than intel. This year with A11on TSMC they are essentially matching on manufacturing node and will exceed intel in PPAC as well.

By losing the mobile business to Samsung and TSMC intel competitors can now out spend and out manufacture and with that comes leadership.

That is why intel has faltered

Apple already has custom chips inside several of their Macs, including all the TouchBar MacBook Pro's, and the iMac Pro, but obviously they're not application processors. In itself this isn't a threat to Intel.
