So yes, salaried Club Managers and Assistants have been displaced and more will continue this week. And yes, there are some hourly Lead jobs being eliminated next week ; lookout PTC, Jewelry Lead, Receiving Lead, Membership Lead , Outside Marketing Associates...... Coming soon : Third Party Marketing Company, Third Party Wireless ... further down the line ... third party Optical, third party Pharmacy ..... So I ask you , ALL Hourly Associates .. why are you still there ... the high powers in the company don't care about you ! Yes, they will soon say all the right things and try and hypnotize you into believing its still the same culture , BULL , and they are soooo empathetic for those Associates displaced and will help them and support them and don't decide these things "lightly" ... watch for this exact wording. Hourly Associates , if you are ever asked to go to MIT , why would you do this and become a victim of the system like is happening this week ... don't ever go to salary manager position as you lose many of your rights as a Walmart Associate ... stay an hourly if you must stay at Sams , get up to $20 and an hour and make $40k per year ... you can live on that. They will not listen unless the hourly Associate base speaks up !!

They Can't make up their mind whether they want to get rid of Membership/Marketing Associates or not. One moment seems like we are gone, next day they plan a Business Blitz. Their communication is horrible. They change the codes every other day. Askmember.com is a waste of time, they don't seem to know what they're doing. We look like fools in the field. Most of the time these codes don't let the members who signed up receive their items. Membership/Marketing is nothing but a mess now.
How do I know ? Over 25 years with the company , retired last year .... many friends still in the Clubs and Home Office ... and Sams Club can never keep a secret. Pay Attention to what happens next week or maybe not until future weeks , I may have not hit everything on the button , but at least most of these things will happen. The problem is no one in the Home Office that has friends in the Clubs can keep it a secret , it always leaks out nor can they keep it a secret from retired guys like me, I have had a thousand texts / phone calls in the last 30 to 45 days from my old Sams buddies ( home office and in the clubs) that have been telling me about this for weeks and weeks .... Club Managers have known for a month the Assistant structure was going to change, they also know about the rumors circling that some of the Associate Lead jobs are going away for months ..... they also heard a term "Club Manager Restructure" , they all assumed this had to do with pay and the bonus program structure changing .... they had no idea it was displacing Club Managers altogether. And it is true , no one can give them a straight answer as to why they were displaced, most are told ' you were on the list' .
LMAO 20 An hour You have to be a longterm associate to be making anything close to that. Raises are constructed now to prevent associates to get anywhere close to that,
