Recovering From Layoffs

You are not alone... (recovering from being suddenly terminated or given severance)

I felt ashamed even though the real cause of my termination was not my fault. I did not know what to tell people since I am not really retired. Feeling betrayed. No heads up. I am letting it go... (Read more in this thread @RuHaUhz or go here https://www.thelayoff.com/t/RuHaUhz

Ever since my layoff from Sam's club I have been terribly depressed, which has led to unhealthy issues due to my depression with no one to really talk to about how I feel. All I have ever known was my Sam's, my home away from home. I gave it my all, then out of no where without warning it was taken away from me. I thought I had friends there, but am realizing that we were just team mates. However, I still miss everyone. I truly pray for everyone that they will get through this if they are let go. I still have not recovered from this, 30 years is not easy to forget. I feel lonely and lost, not a day goes by that I don't think about it. Everyone take care and good luck.

I was let go also, you feel ashame. It’s hard to keep up a smile when you know you do a good job. Of course everyone says that. I know in my area there a two managers that kept their jobs even though they have ethics violations coaching active. This market definitely playing favorites with managers. Hourly staff associates are in shocked and discourage with the Market Managers
