Sams Club will need extra security per market, they will do internal, external investigations, self checkouts and scan n go cases in the market. They are going toward what walmart has, the key holders for AP offices will be APA, CM and CO. Due to the confidentiality of documents room must be locked. CCTV will only be accessed by Security and CM.

What city is your club in? That’s a ridiculous amount of shrink. No way that all comes from theft though. Sounds like a lot of broken processes on the front end and member service.
Not smart to provide a club # or sales. Shrink .50ish.... Stops so far in 2018 about 15 averaging $100 per stop. This does not include the people who were spooked and dumped bc we provided “agressive hospitality “.
Name your club #that has an APA and your shrink dollars.

Security still alive and well in Clubs. Experienced APM's taught managers and associates what to look for, they practice the ten foot rule to discourage shoplifting. No, security is still very much in the Clubs.
My facility has an APA and the stops made daily prove their worth every penny. I do not think all clubs need one but the ones like mine (high theft) do. Especially when the thieves are so aggressive that they create a dangerous environment for members.
If you are an APA in 2018 I’d start planning your resume. Not many clubs have that position and the trend of the company is moving so far away from that.

Some clubs do have APA’s, some clubs do have outside security as well. Just to clarify not all clubs asset protection team consist of just APMs
That’s not true. We had to just rekey the ap office so all assistants could access it and we keep it unlocked. Just the file cabinets are locked.
More security? you’re kidding right. Catch up Sam’s is not interested in shrink, theft, be it internal or external. Maybe just wrong keying or receiving. Product not found, who cares? Transfer, don’t transfer, check receipts don’t check just “fast and friendly”. all these job cuts have no doubt been a factor in loss of profit. the major stockholders will not accept or tolerate any loss. Any key carrying mgr will have access as needed to review cameras. extra security, ha ha
What security at Sam's...There is no security. The past APM told door greeters not to count what is in the baskets...just get them out the door. This creates shrink/theft big time
