So yes, salaried Club Managers and Assistants have been displaced and more will continue this week. And yes, there are some hourly Lead jobs being eliminated next week or in future weeks ; lookout PTC, Jewelry Lead, Receiving Lead, Membership Lead , Outside Marketing Associates...... Coming soon : Third Party Marketing Company, Third Party Wireless ... further down the line ... third party Optical, third party Pharmacy ..... So I ask you , ALL Hourly Associates .. why are you still there ... the high powers in the company don't care about you ! Yes, they will soon say all the right things and try and hypnotize you into believing its still the same culture , BULL , and they are soooo empathetic for those Associates displaced and will help them and support them and don't decide these things "lightly" ... watch for this exact wording. Hourly Associates , if you are ever asked to go to MIT , why would you do this and become a victim of the system like is happening this week ... don't ever go to salary manager position as you lose many of your rights as a Walmart Associate ... stay an hourly if you must stay at Sams , and don't become a Lead, at least you will keep getting a check! However, while at Sams get a job a better company .... like this one used to be but is no longer.

well its true.. im in a club in pa.. and they just eliminated my ptc.. she was the heart of our club.. I am also a floor lead now doing the job of 6 ppl. I have taken on the tasks of lead,, make sure your dept is 100 percent on track, stocker, runner, get the carts out of the cage when no one else can, ptc ( hiring, schedules, terminating), and the audit team.. how much more can one person do is my question before they loose there minds?? Does any other floor lead feel this way
True, today all PTC's were displaced. They have till March 29 to secure a position or leave tge company. More changes coming..

CLUB got super max Sam's Share yes we got steaks it was thrown upstairs and nothing at all was said.I have worked for this company almost 30 yrs and never hav3 so seen such a piss poor management as ours it starts at the top and all she does is sit in office hell she doesn't even know who works there lazy lazy Sam's is gonna rot people.

Membership assoc will walk around with tablet sort of like the Apple store, desk will be refunds only. Groupon, Home office mailings, digital coupons no longer need outside sales

why would you think the membership desk is going away? it will be staffed with all part time. maybe that’s where the TL will end up but the desk will stay
I don't see the Membership Desk going away you have to have a place where you can do returns, ect. and open up the Groupon and Facebook membership accounts.

There seems to be truth to this.
Jewelry lead? They've been taking out the jewelry area and replacing it with a single case. No department lead needed.
Receiving lead? If they thought they could do without the Audit lead, why not receiving lead too?
Membership lead? Why bother going into the field when they have Groupon and Facebook promotions? And the service desk associates will officially go to the front end.
