I’m sure his boys are nice kids and I wouldn’t wish what happened to them on anyone. I looked at the leadership at ascent. Didn’t notice them. Pretty sure that “spin”was more of a “take”by the investor who realized what was going on. But go ahead and speak from ignorance of real facts. It makes it much more entertaining and easy to talk about the real shell company that was chk in the old days. Beautiful candy coating. Nothing underneath.
Aubrey had his flaws, but at least he was a leader. That's more than can be said for the people in charge of chk today.
Idiots. AEP was a shell management company used to startup new companies. When Aubrey died, the idea behind this died also. Perhaps you haven’t heard of Ascent Resources??? That was the main spin off of AEP. Maybe you should read about how it’s now doing, and who is running it before you bash someone. Because of Aubrey, we are still working hard and making a living for our families. Yes I agree some of what he did may not have been 100% the best decisions, he ultimately stuck to making the deals he thought were the best I for one am glad to have met him and glad for opportunity to learn and be able to help support my family with a job.
Yes, i have met them all. You have no idea what I know. Remembet CHK from the early days when it was a modest single building within the "Chesapeake Office Park," which is the origin of the company's name. Aubrey was an outstanding father and his sons turned out great. Do not trash people you do not know, nimrod. You are a real tool.
Uh, you think there is a reason his sons didnt work there? If he had still been at chk no doubt they would have been in land with six figure salaries playing on their phones all day. One thing that is clear from this hilarious post is that the poster has never met any of the McClendons. I am not a fan of Dougie but have to admit he inherited a sh-tshow that was covered up with a bunch of superficial “best place to work” crud
American Energy Partners closed its doors in September 2016. This was supposed to be Aubrey's new Chesapeake. He had grand plans for a massive campus. It never happened. The dude is dead. His sons never worked there.
This made me laugh so hard. Aren’t they busy running AEP? I wouldn’t let either clean my car for fear they would take the spare change from my cup holder.
This will NEVER happen, but I think there must be some potential CEO out there with better management skills than failing Doug. CHK is actually paying for the dirty dealings of AKM.
