This is not true, FAKE NEWS. GE has not yet announced the 2018 compensation plans.
GE is close to bankruptcy. The other companies aren't. You don't start giving raises when you have the huge debt load GE does. (except to maybe a few top execs who have contracts)
If you are worried, start applying at other companies. The writing is on the wall. I'm sure soon we will see if government wants to help with a bailout.
of course they will leave...why should they stay and work for an organization that mistreats them, doesn't give a damn about their wellbeing and does NOT reward good performance...The situation is pretty dire at the moment and it now begs the question if the seniors care to keep any good workers at all...but I would dare to say that at this point...they don't care at all....
However, once the dust is settled, they will find themselves with a bunch of low performing employees and a mountain to climb...looks like it will be very challenging (if not impossible) to get out of this spiral !!
The employee share of the healthcare fees are increasing, the GE stock price is decreasing, no raise in the foreseeable future ---- what a losing combination. And when there is a losing combination like this, good smart people will leave the company.
Yes, but where else could you go to be treated like this? For example in Greenville this week, they cut off our office mail deliveries. I guess Dave Suspect thought morale was still too high.
I bet there will be bonuses this year at GE; they will just start with a negative sign.
