I have noticed this strange smell for a few weeks now but I can't really tell what it is.
Could it be a mergquisition?

I can hardly wait...a hint? Because the nonsense is knee deep and getting deeper everyday
Coming 6 weeks from now....
It's that green grass burning in Albany, NY.
I smell merger/buy out/acquisition
I think it's just old salmon steak.
Bofa said several years ago (internally) that they wanted to reduce their exposure. After the Countrywide acquisition, it made them the largest target causing millions in losses. The plan Has been to reduce and step aside from being the largest mortgage lender and the largest target. Wells Fargo took this as an opportunity to grow their business model. What you are seeing is BofA keeping on track to reduce their exposure.
more than likely another sale. But what's left?Servicing?
They have sold off some smaller things...they may be spinning things off too. Get rid of the 'problem' areas again instead of fixing them.
*cannot
Wells Fargo can go passed the 2T cap. They may have to get rid of some assets or shift them around.
