Maybe Amazon will save us.

I lost my job after 5 years with Sears commercial division. After 3 years leadership was changed from a bunch of former Motorola folks to former Amazon supposed cream of the crop. Sales tanked. No engagement from anyone in Seattle. And after we trained former Amazon folks for 2 years. That's right. Mid level execs needing 2 years then we all were let go in Hoffman, Illinois, Sears Corp office after they screwed us. All former Amazon, Seattle people didn't lose jobs. Just us in corporate that did all the work...
If you can't beat them join them. Only the work is more intense, but more importantly, health & dental coverage on DAY 1.
If Amazon bought Home services they would only want the physical assets i.e. trucks, tools, parts, and maybe the customer list (past and present customers) They would not want the name, too much baggage and bad reputation. They would probably keep some of the workers but would probably get rid of most and start again.
I dont see this happening. Amazon could make a deal with any other service company and farm any service they sold to them, kinda what Home Depot and Lowes do now. Heck, they could even farm the stuff out to Home Depot or Lowes. No reason to buy Sears HS with all the baggage
I heard last year they were interested in Home Services, and they do sell Sears appliances now. Hopeful you might get your wish if you work under HS.
Why the hell would Amazon want Sears and Kmart. You people are really grasping at straws.
Yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath.
👎 ya'll got a better chance of finding a job at Amazon 👀
Doubtful
