New comp trials?

I saw the video in vzweb about the current comp trials in certain markets.

Anyone on here currently in one of those trials? If so what does it look like

In my 15 years here, the comp plan only gets better for the company, we keep losing money all the while doing more work and selling sometimes 2 or 3 times the products for less and less money, Everytime this company has to tell you how great something is going to be you better lube up because you are about to be a-- drilled!

I've told my management team they should clone these overachieving reps ( slammers ) and get rid of everyone else. After he woke up, he said that's a great idea. And asked " what's for lunch"?

That sounds about how the Experience Specialist hourly wages were determined. Didn’t work out so great for them, just sayin’.

Gez...Can it possibly get more complicated?, can you tell the bean counters have taken over the asylum?

That math is fairly accurate. Plus, there is a quarterly bonus based on experience metrics (voice, return rate, 3 day call in rate). We are basically being made whole based on what we did last year. Reps that didn't hit target commission last year are getting no quarterly commission payout but can still make the experience quarterly bonus.

can you confirm the math? 1350 x 12= 16200, then ÷ 52 weeks, by 40hrs = $7.79 hour raise? pluse say you make 2400 monthly avg in 2017 x 12 months the diff being 1050 above at risk per month = 12600 above at risk ÷ 4 = $3150 bonus quarterly? is this accurate? if do id take that for no stress

So Verizon is just going to pay out at risk in the hourly?? Sorry if I’m skeptical. That would amount to a raise to everyone in my store save two slammers.

Bet you will have a lot less escalations and happier customers having quotas and commissions gone. Now people have no reason to be slimy scumbag A holes and lie to customers

Currently in a trial district. Commission and quotas are totally gone. At risk commission rollled into hourly. Any commission made over target in 2017 is divided by 4 and paid quarterly. I personally love it. We are now ranked on customer experience metrics such as voice and return rate. Stress levels are at an all time low. High performers will hate it because they will make less but also because they are accountable for selling quality rather than quantity. I fully expect permanent changes Jan 1, 2019 after these trials are over and evaluations are done over the last few months of the year.

Genius Lecompte was given the green light by brain surgeon Tami to spearhead this nonsense, so of course he's gonna make a video talking about how everybody loves it. This company probably has more absolute idiots in top positions making important decisions than any other in America.

Awesome super bowl commercial btw. 😩

New to this board here. I agree that it needs tweaked now. All they have to do give us the same opportunity to make money like we used to. To be forced to take a pay cut while 95% of your fellow solution specialists are not is why most of us are not happy. Do you blame us?

That's nice they want to tweak it but that needs done NOW after 1 month of failure. Expecting someone to ride this out for 6 months and then be happy when it's tweaked or doesn't roll out company wide is unrealistic. I am betting they will not make adjustments to the trials as they move on. That's why there is multiple trials!

Heard IT is developing AI that will slam hums without sales reps

It’s a work in progress trial that will be tweaked until it’s workable and fair based on feedback that comes in. It’s even been referred to here as trial areas, so that should be viewed as encouraging.

For those asking why it is bad it is simple, people are being compensated significantly less under the team trial versus the old individual system, FOR THE SAME OUTPUT/MONTHLY RESULTS! We are talking $1000 to $2000 less a month for most of us. In our district, the results are being driven by 2 main factors. Store sales dollar quotas and individual phone quotas that are near impossible to hit, let alone exceed like you used to be able to do under the old comp plan. Things will be fine as long as they can get the formula figured out to where people make close to what they used to with similar output. That being said, February looks to be more of the same. For those wanting to know how checks are calculated under the new system? Look at past posts on this page and you will find posts covering all the the details on the team comp.

I love all the people that complain about top reps soing exactly what the company wants them to do. If it wasnt we would all be fired by now instead we get paid. Call it slamming or whatever you want but there is no other way to sell large amounts of hums (worst product ever) or tablets on a satures market. On top of that Verizon has the most expensive rates and usually the worst promos(if any at all). If you sont want to do what is required, keep drinking the koolaid that is the credo and enjoy your 1.0

To the guy that said “have faith” ive never ever seen a “comp restructure” that has worked in our favor.

For those actually in the trail and saying this is bad etc. You say it’s bad but don’t explain what the trial consist of. Care to explain what is being trialed and why is it bad? Thanks

I understand the top reps are pissed, from what I am reading here. They seem, if I’m interpreting their comments correctly, to feel that they’re really being unfairly slammed, that money’s wrongly being taken from them by some perceived deception. I ask my wireless friends to have a little faith and give the new compensation system a chance before becoming a Negative Nelly. Do you really believe someone would underhandedly cheat you like that? Try having a little faith that you’ll be treated as you would treat others, decently. Relax, and stop jumping to conclusions. I have always found, if you’re good at heart, and maintain decency in your heart towards others, karma smiles upon you and treats you good and decently in turn.

Peace!

Top reps are pissed. If I were him I would be apologizing to these people who consistently kept this sh--ty district afloat over the years. How well will the stores do when all the top reps leave and the bums who never sell are left?

It’s saving the company money. The point of every com restructure has always been about saving company money and having reps make less. This isn’t something new it’s been happening for 10+ years

In a region with trial. It’s a slaughter. People that are lazy or can’t sell don’t mind they s--- anyway. Anyone who made 60k or more is getting straight a-- to mouth. My estimated loss for 6 month trial is 12k. Yes. 12 thousand dollars. All for my DM who volunteered and pushed to get trial to save his job. He’s a joke, and everyone knows it. He says he’s a numbers guy. Here’s a number $300,000 loss of commission min for all his employees in 6 months. I couldn’t sleep at night over that kind of a-- rape.

It's is a joke. Our DM has even admitted it to all of us. The funny thing is supposedly he volunteered our district for the trial and now it has turned into a nightmare situation for him. No one made any commission last month and now this month looks to be more of the same. For the first time ever, our managers are not on message because they know we are all getting screwed and can't motivate us. DM says sell more hum so he can fight the battle for us even though hum doesn't pay sh-- under this new structure. I about spit out my coffee when I watched the video today we're he said that the feedback has been positive so far. They must not have heard from our district. What a f---ing !

Is anyone able to say how the comp structure breaks down?

Is it store, team, etc? How is the receipt bucket changed? Is the new/up changed along with multipliers? Those types of changes lol

It's horrible. Our district is in it now. Some people didn't even get a check. Top performers only made at risk if that. There has been nobody including management giving positive feedback. The video is misleading for sure.

As someone who is currently in a trial district for the team comp I can tell you this, IT BLOWS!! I heard the top rep in our district for growth didn't even get paid target commission. Most reps checks are HALF of what they were when comparing to January of last year. If we are forced to bend over and take it for 5 more months, I can't imagine most of us still being here.

Im a top performer and all i hear is that imma be getting a massive paycut. No form of group comp or service based (higher hourly lower com) will result on a pay increase for me or anyone else hitting betwee 1.5-1.8. I always knew this day was coming. I just hope that nothing is changed until next year so i can find something else to do.
