I think out mandatory meeting on 2/11 is 6pm-9pm
Weird how my schedule for Sunday is a split shift
Normal hours Sunday morning for the ad
Then return after store is closed at 6pm
Should be an interesting 3 hours
Just wonder where everyone all at once will fit
No meeting in our store and even if they wanted one we have absolutely no hours for it.
Our sears store is having the “mandatory” meeting Sunday 2/11 also
for those that do the ad sets will we be coming in extra early so the ad will be done before the meeting? Does anyone know what the plan is?
we got one for our store... I'm sure it's to explain all the new great things Sears has in store for us.
with less sales there is less merchandise to pull to the floor and drop
We would love to have a mandatory meeting in our store to discuss new structure but we have NO hours to communicate to our associates. We have to communicate through daily member rallies.
You missed t. It was feb 11th 2017!
Simple store has been in Kmarts for over a year. Ask a Kmart person. It is a mess because they dont train you in the process. they just send out an email and say this is the way it is going to be, then the email tries to explain how to do it. Less people, more work, no titles, everyone doing everything. Simple
In other words, they are going to overwork you for less money. Probably time to bail if you can.
Just trying to help you not lose that next job offer because of 2nd grade grammar and spelling issues.
People are worrying about their jobs....yet there is always someone that feels that the proper usages of "their" and "there" somehow is of interest or significance in a layoff/downsizing situation.
@1ckw Just more of the same Simple Store that's been gradually being implemented for months. If it hasn't already been fully implemented in your store, yes it means more layoffs, but ones that have already been on the way since last year.
Does this mean that there will be changes/possible layoffs at the store level AGAIN?
Basically you’re gonna have less people doing more things. The names of your positions have been changed into less and less specific titles. First you had someone who was specifically a cashier and you had someone who was specifically MCA. Then you had someone who did both. Now you’ll have someone who’s responsible for even more things although the responsibilities overlap some. MCA positions are cashiers as well. Backroom are also cashiers and they may also do MCA tasks. Etc etc. BUT expect to have less people in the store at the same time overall.
(I’m not the same poster but I know what’s going on in your company)
@1gzv- please elaborate on this simple store
Seems like it’s a dam secret in my store and when will training on this begin?
All we’ve been told is that there will be 3 divisions now
Sales support
Store support
Management
Is the newly renamed management team going to train everyone since they are first to have information
@@Rz4vM8u-cxm Seems simply store already started in my department and let me tell you its a damn mess already. Only one in the morning in tools guy was just going crazy so many customers and him taking it all and whats worse he said till 2 p.m. he was getting coverage
Feb 11th is when Simple Store is fully implemented too
February 11th is a Sunday...
Yeppers, the meeting agenda is for instructions in the proper usage of "their" and "there"
Where and for whom?
Stores or corporate?
