Just look at last years 10K report! Trading revenue is lower than 2016 and yet last year was the best bull market run in history. What were they doing? Any idiot, and almost everyone else has made large amounts of money in the markets last year, 2017, what went wrong? They should have exceeded 2016, by at least double the percentage rate easily! Maybe the Trading IT software support isn't so good at providing them with decent data and analytics? I know my area does a lousy job but how widespread that is, is any ones guess. Maybe too many uncoordinated Indian support teams, too many risk systems, poorly organized p&l systems and risk control systems or just plain bad analysis?
