It is worse in China becoz our directors and snr.directors and vps do nothing. Better for teams to report direct to technical vps in SD like before , useless layer of local management in China can be cut for saving dollars

Absolutely . If u are good then u I not being adept and trying to rule a team is a punishment for the organization
My sr. Dir. Is very talented and smart one. Though i had some inept ones before too.
pte snr. director is a joke, knows nothing yet want to "direct", asks and requests nonsense, don't even have public speaking skill, after his talk, no one knows what he was talking about ?? basically a puppet of his svp. everyone from his present and previous qa group despises him, either his svp is blind to select/promote him to "direct" the group, or his svp is letting the group to die on its own
