Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

I saw it coming.

I retired in 2016. I saw this coming at least 2 years before that. Once MT took over, to me, it seemed like some of the traditional company values were no longer considered valuable or necessary. Sad but true. Its no longer a family atmosphere. Bottom line has replaced the family atmosphere. Like a good neighbor, well you can finish it.....

Not only is it stressful for the employees, think about others who are also stressed. Aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and most of all GRANDPARENTS.....

The bull moron is just trying to make all you farm animals (sheep?) realize that your breathless handwringing and endless posts full of angst and worry are a waste of time! Fodder for entertainment, but nonetheless a huge waste of time. Pull up your big girl panties, get over yourselves, update your resumes and find another damn job! It can be done.

Many of us saw it coming with the first reorganization and the 'new' agency contract in 1997.

Not sure if MT is a product of Satan or not. Just a thought.

MT is trashing a company made strong by its employees, Rust recognized the value of dedicated, highly skilled and motivated employees. New leadership sees experienced long term employees as a expense and nothing more. They are paying the price now with record high indemnity, out of control loss adjustment expense and claims mistakes costing them hundreds of millions. Never have I seen the policy loss we have experienced under the new leadership. If we were a stock company MT would be long gone. State Farm has $96 billion, but they are making cuts like they have one foot in the insolvency door. If you are over 50 you are most likely going to get kicked to the curb. Very sad to see all the hard working dedicated career oriented people losing their jobs at the worst time possible. Leadership keeps talking about growing, seriously? They won't have the claim staff to even service the customers should they ever attract any. Amazing how clueless the senior leaders are to the realities of what is really going on in claims. Have to wonder how long they will tolerate MT's lack of leadership skills.

Not sure why there are so many idiots on here who just say stupid things, like the bull moron. But you are right. As soon as MT took over, people knew this was coming. Plus the whole autonomous cars not using traditional insurance situation.
