Annual cost per VP/SVP is around 2M. Total cost to keep them happy is close to one billion per year. Other technology companies like intel/apple/google have very less number of VPs. Maybe one per 1000 engineers while Q averages one per 100. If we walk thru the hallway in Q, will hit across more VPs than engineers.

Don't be baited into divulging company information. The trolls are just throwing out wild numbers to bait you into correcting them. Come on, you are better than that. Don't fall for it and correct them. Let the trolls delude themselves into thinking that their numbers are correct.
That is not 500. VPs are 280. SVPs + EVPs are 65. If you work for QCOM, don't come up with wrong numbers. That is easy.
I don't believe the annual cost to be 1M. It is possibly around 600k - not more.
Not surprising. When they first started going through layoffs back in 2015 the cut a lot of Directors and very few VP's. The dark cloud of Hock Tan should help as the Q Mismanagement is hard at cutting $1.5B in costs to quell investor ire and stave of the takeover. Just read the proxy statement and you can see how much money the upper management is pulling out of the company will they steer it off course
